Post 100: Forging ahead into 2013

What. A. Year.

I am not going to review the year here because I have done that elsewhere. Check it out now.

So, what this post will do, hopefully, is challenge you, my dear reader, to take 2013 by the horns and ride her swiftly into the sunset!

What are you going to get accomplished this coming year? Do you make resolutions? If you had a Revelation in 2012, like many of my actor friends did, then 2013 should be ripe with opportunities and adventures!

I do usually make lists of things I want to get done – “2 short films, 1 feature, learn an instrument, yadda yadda” – Β around this time, but this year is going to be different. For one thing, I am not going to put things on my list which I cannot control! And, “getting cast in a _____________” is out of my control. Well, unless I am producing, of course. πŸ˜‰

So, my big one for 2013 is: Take more risks, especially during auditions. I blogged about risk earlier this year, and I am going to heed my own advice and do just that in 2013 – risk more! After all, during an audition, what have I got to lose? The job isn’t mine (yet) anyway, right?

So, what are YOU going to do in 2013? I know, it’s another long year, but maybe there are a few things you can share which will inspire other readers? Let me know!

Thanks for reading and Stay Inspired!

~ David
